I think in terms of price compared to the ammount of different sounds available it will stand it's ground. And I def think 500E would still be cheap. Maybe the comparison isn't correct but it doesn't change my opinion about the plugin being sold cheap for what it has in store. |

i never said something about the quality. but you can't compare sample cds which have drum one shots with the size of a few 100 KB against a multisampled pad which alone needs more than 100 MB for one sound.
beside with this kind of comparison everybody would be silly to buy a monophonic moog. just keep in mind that to some people quality counts more than quantity. |

Imo, a monophomic moog IS silly. :p J/k
Omnisphere will have an insane amount of quality sounds, that only the imagination will stop you.
Besides, it's a fully fledged synth. It has all the stuff from the Symphony of Voices sample discs, the whole of atmosphere, and tons of new crazy sounds.
This is nothing short of a monster synth, and I'm looking forward to see the complete list of features and specs. 500$? If you consider the huge undertaking these guys have done, in order to make this - that's more than fair imo.
It's a no brainer to me. |

| Apparently, I'll be getting Omnisphere for a lot less than $400. Eric has already said that there will be an excellent upgrade price for those of us who own Atmosphere. He also said in the KVR thread that registered owners of all three Spectrasonics "synths" (i.e., Atmosphere, Stylus RMX, and Trilogy) will be eligible for a "VIP" upgrade price. |

Thanks for that info. I contacted spectrasonics yesterday as I had lost my serial for atmosphere, Had no access to the email address I had registered to, Been 3 years since I brought it yet early this morning I had an email back with the correct serial!
They truly are an awesome company and with first class support. (Customer support at Tone 2 and Lennar Digital is also superb)
I highly recommended any of their products to anyone.

You should see the KVR forums - I swear there's two dozen Omnisphere threads over there.
Mine's on its way, so now I have to try to keep my attention diverted until Thursday. I may be calling in sick on Friday. ;) |

my opinion is based on kvr. especially that the hype is swaped over to alchemy and omnisphere even loosed the poll :P
and the spectrasonics website has only very poor information about omnisphere. |

$700 for me. Ouch :(
Will have to wait a couple of months. |
