Faithless - Drifting Away

I'm sure all Faithless fans (and many other people) will have a lot of love for this track, including the clubbed up Paradiso Mix which plays the main theme on piano. I've often had people comment that this version sounds like the music from the Exorcist. Turns out they weren't far wrong.
I was watching John Carpenter's 1980 horror film The Fog earlier, and when the music began playing it struck me immediately as familiar. Take a guess why.
Comparison:
Drifting Away (Paradiso Mix) (Skip to 1.37 for the piano)
John Carpenter - Theme From The Fog
Spooky, eh?
And yes, I know there's a thread for tracks-that-sound-like-other-tracks, but there's so much crap in that thread I can't be bothered with it. |

Not only is the melody very similar but the timbre of the piano is too.
'The Fog' piano melody also sounds like something Tangerine Dream would put out. |
