If I use iTunes to manage my music, do I need to "import" my library into Traktor 3 or can I just browse through my playlists and load the tracks accordingly? |

You can just browse the library and play tracks from it. There's an "iTunes" icon in the playlist manager...
BUT... if you do that, the tracks aren't added to your "collection". In the playlist window, the track icons won't work if the tracks haven't been imported, meaning you won't be able to see if you've already played a track, if it's loaded to a deck, etc.
If you right click the track library icon, and do an "import from iTunes", the tracks DO get added to your library, and will be analyzed if you selected that as your default in the preferences (kind of like building the waveforms in Serato).
You won't wind up with two copies of the tracks though.

Thanks Ryan... I figured as much that Traktor would still need to add it to it's collection...
Does that "alter" those files in anyway? All of my MP3s and iTunes Plus tracks have already A) been analyzed and BPMed in Scratch, and B) been analyzed in Mixed In Key.
Will "adding to collection" in T3 alter these files in any additional ways? |

No, the MP3's remain in your iTunes library folder, the analysis files (they call them "stripes" in Traktor) and the collection reside in your Traktor folder.
