Sidechain using hardware

Hi all.
When sidechaining using my hardware synth and compressor all i get it the reduction in synth volume but cant hear the kick at all.
Do i need to have the kick output to another channel aswell. |

| Yes, the kick needs to be assigned to an output as well (i.e., not just to the compressor sidechain input). You may want to just insert a send from from kick track to the SC input. |
