Korg Kontrol 49 or Akai MPK49

| i have �280 spend on a midi keyboard....these are the 2 i have found so far, can any one tell me which is best or if there is any better for that price....thanks |

| If it was my decision, the Akai MPK49 is the one I'd go with. I played around with one in the music store a few weeks ago and was pretty impressed. The keys and drum pads felt great, the lit-up mod/pitch bend wheels are uber-cool, nice large display with lots of info, and Akai has pretty good software (I owned an MPD24 for a while). |

I have never used the Korg Kontrol 49. Therefore, I am unable to comment on that particular product.
However, I do own the Akai MPK49. In my opinion, the Akai MPK49 is a very good studio and performance controller. |

| The Korg Kontrol 49 is the winner for me if i was you! The Reason why it's the winner is becuse the Korg Kontrol 49 has 16 pads and the Akai has only 12 and also if your Reason user like me the Korg Kontrol 49 u get the True power of Reason with the l.e.d read out screen on the Korg Kontrol 49! I have the microKontrol it's just like the Korg Kontrol 49 but smaller! I love my microKontrol! Little kids bang on the pads and keys real hard playing around on it ,i spill beer and soda in and drop it alot and its still works good! :) |
