Wow, this month and last saw some major shifting in booking agencies for electronic music.
First off, Division One Joel Zimmerman took his roster which included Deadmau5, Steve Lawler, Burridge, and Zabiela to William Morris Agency's new Electronic Division.
Following that, another founding agent of the Vital Talent agency (Chaotica + The Collective Agency merge from 2007), left for the new Electronic Division as well and took Radio Slave and a few others with him.
Add to all of this, John Digweed and Sasha bailed out of Vital Talent and moved to the Windish Agency which is the indie electronic agency that books folks like Justice, Digitalism, Cut Copy, Crystal Castles, Sea Wolf, Busy P, etc. Other agents joining Windish are: Adam Freeland, Darren Emerson, Dave Seaman, Mauro Picotto, Nick Warren, and Paul Oakenfold.
Here's a partial article for you:

This was a busy month for switching around - jeebers! lol Yeah, probably only booking agency event finding fanatics would notice this but I thought I would post as it is interesting to see where folks end up - still waiting to see where Dave Dresden and Josh Gabriel will land - none of them are listed at Vital Talent any longer along with Sander Kleinenberg and a few others.
So here are the main N. American booking sites:
PAM DJs
William Morris Electronic Division
AM Only
Vital Talent
Windish Agency
Take a look and see where folks ended up. |

i saw that last month about Joel doing that at WM along with Pete Tong. i don't think in the short term it will mean anything...long term who knows.
i do remember a major local promoter we all know years ago taking meetings with CAA though i don't know of anything specific that came of that. |

| Drives me nuts to see some of my favorites of all time join Windish. I really don't like the indie-dance . Although I will say Windish has a very nice list of talent. As far as indie dance goes they have some acts and djs I do actually like (Z-Trip mainly). They now have the full array from prog to trance to tech to indie to hip-hop. It will be very interesting to see how this all works out in the future. It excites and scares me. |

| Glad to see artists evolving, lord knows William Morris is a mayor step up for all those who have joined it. Oh Stires, don't forget the little people. ;) |
