| I can't believe they still have "the real world" on... that show is awful. what are they on now, like season 74? it's such a cliche now... bunch of kids with emotional problems and drinking problems get fed booze for 3 months and go berzerk :rolleyes: |

| My girlfriend gave me a small television earlier this year. I don't think I've turned it on more than 5 times (including the 3 times we watched the news together). |

the funny part is that i always end up dating guys who love them. lol i mean it's not a deal breaker or anything but it's close.
tonight my guy had on MTV's "Next" when i got there, and at first i was like, "dude.." but then all these hot 18 year old sluts with big were on there like "TEEHEHEHEHE what's your favorite position" and then it was all very clear. :stongue: |

yeah reality tv shows have definitely taken over the tvs.
and i hate it... ok a few of them are entertaining but its all you see nowadays. |

I will admit that there is a short list of ones that I like, but I seriously flip the channels and pretty much all that is on is reality bull. Reminds me of why I really hardly ever watch tv.
ps: the few I like are ones like Deadliest Catch....and...ehh...I think that is pretty much it lol |

I also watch Deadliest Catch. :) I honestly don't know why I find it so interesting. I don't exactly clutch my pillow in anticipation to see how successful their pot strings will be, nor am I emotionally distressed to hear about their personal conflicts (the family/legacy issues). Maybe I just like it when they replace swearing with sounds of birds or foghorns.
The (spin off?) one about Ice Truckers, i do not enjoy so much. :/
My mate was watching some show on lifetime or E about fathers who are traded into other families. He did not like that the alternative family did not recycle, and inferred to the daughters obesity problems by refusing their school ride and making them ride their bikes. I told her it was stupid and we got a few hours deeper into Final Fantasy XII. |

...and 8 minutes after making this post I watched the UK version of 'The Apprentice' on CNBC:o At least it isn't as dramatic and cheesy as Donald Trump's version, and is the only reality TV show I actually enjoy, the UK version that is. The US one got out of control.
There is one good thing about reality TV. You can watch Joel McHale rip into them watching 'The Soup':D |

| Satellite with HBO, Starz, Cinemax, Showtime, The Movie Channel, Flix, and IFC is all u need. Commerical TV is mostly crap. Science Channel and all the Discovery Sub channels are the only ones worth watching in commercial land. |
