Has anyone noticed any clipping in iTunes and/or their iPod recently? (i.e after the last update). I'm looking at the levels on my soundcard with iTunes at full volume and it's clipping all over the place. I'm just after importing a CD into iTunes and transfered it to my iPod and there is a serious amount of clipping there too. Anybody else have this problem or is it a setting or something that I have checked?
Thanks. |

| i don't know about clipping but my ipod classic has annoying little distortion on some of the more quite parts of songs, like when there is only a guitar or some... anyway its been like this from the begining when i got it... |

I reckon this has to do with the bitrate setting you have in itunes. Quiet or acoustic parts sound really bad at low bitrates, but they are masked when the sound is louder or more full. |

| Never had a problem with the sound. Maybe it helps if you restore the Ipod settings in Itunes.... |

| Bollocks to this. I'm going to start using Songbird or Winamp and forget about iTunes. |
