Hey Addicts,
I'm getting a few songs signed and I want to have them mastered by someone who actually knows what they're doing (i.e., as opposed to me ;) ). Got any recommendations for someone who is:
- affordable/cheap
- good, and
- specializes/knowledgeable in EDM?
Thanks! |

| Thanks for all the suggestions so far guys! However, after emailing Chris at blacklistedmastering, he pointed out that, given the poor state of the US $, my best option is to find a US mastering house. The exchange rate would make the cost of mastering outside the US obscenely high. So, I guess I need to add US-only mastering houses to my criteria. Thanks! |

I just got to the point about US currency :( Ive got a very good MH that uses top-notch analogue hardware and adds that "crisp" to your tracks, but its European based so you're out of luck on that one
Anyway if anyone needs an EU based MH check this out : www.fatsoundmastering.com |

Hey Cryo,
Mastering is usually a task for the label you signed it to. They mostly hire pro engineers that do the mastering.
In my case, because of the digital release, I've got none of my tracks mastered, so I have to make sure my mixes are good enough. |

Thanks Subtle! Let me know how you like them when he's done, ok? | It ended up with me doing the master myself. |

| Shouldn't the label take care of this? |

Thanks Dave - I'll check them out. Hopefully, the US$ is still worth something across our northern border!
Regarding the label handling the mastering - they gave me the choice of having it done myself or them handling it. Either way, it's a 50/50 cost split and I just want to handle it myself. |
