I know we've had plenty of movie threads, but they're always sporadic and sometimes about only one movie. This is an attempt to see what you all are watching, wanting to see, or would recommend seeing.

I saw La Haine today. A movie about life in the French projects in the 90's. T'was wicked. There were points in which it seemed to drag and not really go anywhere, but that was sort of the point. Highly recommended.

Anyways, other I've got queued up are:

Sigur Ros' Heima
Elling
The Savages
Don't Move
Boogie Nights
Funny Games
Vengeance is Mine
Stroszek
Goodfellas (haven't seen it, yeahyeah)
Alpha Dog
There Will Be Blood
Maria Full of Grace
Eraserhead

aaaand some others. Anything else you think I should see?

Lolita?

lolololol

THAT would be truly bizarre

seriously though, ing amazing movie
or Blowup is good
definitely some Kurosawa if you haven't seen anything. Seven Samurai is probably my favorite by him, but its very very long.

on a completely unrelated note, who killed the electric car was pretty good. oh and i thought Roman de gare was pretty damn good. really damn good actually. get that.
Frenchie
Don't watch Alpha Dog.

Possibly the greatest film of all time. Fanny and Alexander is also great stuff.

I'm working on his trilogy now (Through a Glass Darkly/Winter Light/The Silence)
