Worst this year. I know it has been discussed before but WHY THE does producers feel the urge to bring back classics and turn them into utter . Why does the original producers even allow this, or dont they have anything to say about this at all?

to make more easy money

the original producers either a) still want more money or b) don't have a say in the matter regardless as the label owns the track

Agreed.
Some songs should be left well alone. Carte Blanche is one of them.

God, this remix sucks. They did a terrible job of trying to make it sound new and improved.
Here's the retarded looking video too, in case anyone wants to make fun of that also:

thats a very (as in VERY) lightly modified version of the original's filmclip.
200x remix checklist:
1) farty bassline CHECK
2) unnecessarily pingy backing synth CHECK
3) uncalled for vocal to remind everyone the name of the track CHECK

I would have hoped Ferry Corsten and Vincent De Moor were better than that.
Bren-F
Same as the original video...
But me they have ruined the song! :o

A few of the edited versions on the original '99 single, Whisper Edit and French Edit i think, featured these 2-word "vocals" already but luckily they were excluded from the full version.

Its not Ferry or Vincent de Moor who decides if its going to be made 2008 mixes, unless its by them.
I dont mind new remixes of any kind of track, AS LONG AS IT SOUNDS GOOD!!!

What do you think of the other revivals of VDM tracks? EG Fly Away(Cosmic Gate Remix), Flowtation(Roy Gates Remix, forget the Signum mix, it's "ASOT mcprog"), Sunflower(VDM's 2008 Rework, most people never heard the original before, it was originally only released in Japan I think).
Too bad VDM hasn't produced anything original in 4 years. Liked his Flashbang songs, was a good change of style(more of a hard trance/dance type sound). Time for a real comeback.

Shocking :wtf:
