Question For Burning With Itunes...

Firstly, I picked up mixed in key and i'm wondering if there is a way to get id3 tag comments to show up in itunes? r am I going to have to go back through my whole collection and have mixed in key assigned to output to the artist or track info instead of comments?

On top of that, what speed should I be burning at? I have had some disc errors with some of my tracks, which could just be the cd-r's or it could be something else. Do I want to burn at the slowest speed possible for these cd's since they are going to be used playing out?

In iTunes make sure you have the comment field showing... on a Mac this is command+j. Or at the top go to view, then view options. It should be one of the options on the left-most column.

As far as burning... If you're relying on these CDs to play out, just burn at the slowest speed to be safe. But why are you getting errors? I've never had errors when burning in iTunes. Are the CDrs scratched? Are the MP3s from suspect sources?

When you analyze tracks in Mixed In Key does it check the files for corruption as well?

The tracks are all from beatport and djdownload. I do not think the tracks are the errors. It could be the drive itself because up until now I used my desktop drive which is a little bit older and lower quality. I'd never had any problems before. It also could be because they are mp3 cd's and not audio cd's. I dont know but im going to find out when I reburn this batch.

Thanks for the help I'll let you know if it works.

I ended up just spending a day and going and manually changing the key comments to be before the song name so they appear right on the info when I play.

And for anyone who doesnt know, pick up MIxed in key!!!

It is so much easier playing with everything organized by key since I have so many songs. I love it; it's kind of nice to use it as a "well we're in 5A I can choose from such and such songs, instead of just selecting from 10,000 tracks as I was before.
