Serving into the wee hours during the Toronto International Film Fest dates, the Drake hosts a series of special, full-facility events. This one, co-presented by A.P.E., features a DJ set by the Baltimore/D.C. duo of Dave Nada and Matt Nordstrom who, together as Nadastrom, turn out floor-filling electro bangers. Their recent remixes range from cookie-cutter (Tittsworth’s “WTF”) to truly inventive (Estelle’s “American Boy”), but the pair are likely to explode when Switch releases Nadastrom’s debut EP — complete with Soul II Soul samples, UK-rave references and monster breakdowns — on Dubsided this fall. PS: other artists appearing at The Drake this weekend include Montreal’s Ghislain Poirier (Friday) and Andy Williams (Saturday).
