| Anyone try the XD-54? How does it stand up to the Technic RPH and the Pioneer's? |

They're OK, I don't know - I still prefer my 7506's to them, but the sound quality was solid, probably better than the Pioneer or Technics offerings.
For the price, however, they are an absolute ing waste of money. Terrible purchase, and easily one of the lesser products A&H makes (and I'm saying that being a full on A&H fanboy here).
Definitely pass. |

Anywhere from $149.99 to $200.00 USD.
They aren't worth $100, IMO. Then again, neither are the Technics or Pioneer cans.
7506, 7506, 7506. Just buy the 7506. :p |

| Yea I can only recommend the 7506s these days, became a true fanboy after purchase.. the only other set of cans i would consider would be teh sennheiser hd-25.. and the only reason why sasha & digweed use the xd-53s is probably because A&H sponsors them (sasha used to use 7506s), not sure if i've seen the xd53s on any other djs |

How heavy are the XD-53's? I've heard that they have a metal headband, and I think it has metal reinforced hinges as well.
Also, I retract anything I said about the XD-53 being very similar to Denon HP-1000's in other threads (apart from the look). They just look similar, but I'd say the A&H have better build quality. Keep in mind I've never had either in hand to test or review. |

I believe Mathias is also playing on those these days and echoes your sentiments. He really loves them, and they look cool as to boot :p

I didn't think they were any heavier than any of the other "DJ" headphones out there - but to be fair, they all feel heavy as and uncomfortable as hell to me these days.
I am indeed a 7506 fanboy. Never had anything on my ears that even came close. |

I have tried them. If money isn't an issue for you, you should definitely get these.
I have the technics rpdj1210, and they sound like nothing compared to the XD 53.
Buying this on christmas. |

| what i've noticed... it's really hard to go to anyhitng else from the 7506s. I remember I had to dj using v600s and it was a ad experieence in the beginning , ih ad to crank the eq's premix to make sure i was good to go |
