Underworld - Dark & Long vocals

Anyone know 100% certain what the words are? Dark Train, obviously. It got me wondering after i watched the youtube clip and people had said what they had thought, none seemed correct but it made me doubt what i had always said. "Dark Train"... then what?
Sorry if this has been done, i couldnt find a thread already. |

I'm asuming you mean the Dark Train version, because the original Dark & Long has a lot of lyrics, and begins with "Thunder thunder, lightning ahead".
The second line of Dark Train goes "Ride the train home" and not "Rock the triangle" as I once thought. I just listened to it again to remember what the first line is, and honest to God I just got tranced out listening to it and completely forgot my intention. |

| Yeah i always thought it was Ride the train but the second time it changes and sounds like "iam a triangle." also though "On Track" could have made sense. Thanks guys. |

| It does sound like triangle, but thats stupid. Ride The Train Home sounds pretty damn right though. |

No. It's just "ride the train" for the Dark Train version.
And Bas is right, the only lyrics that have ever officially been confirmed have been NUXX, which were published in some sort of art/typography book that Underworld put out at one point. Every other time they're asked, they always avoid giving a direct answer. |

There's never been a "NUXX" version of Dark & Long.
I've just listened to it again. The first line is simply "The train..." and I'm fairly sure the second line is "Ride the train home". I think it sounds a bit like "triangle" because Hyde is putting a bit of a London inflection on the vowel sound in "train". He puts it on in the album version as well- you can hear it strongly on the "You was done up there, mate" line (EDIT: To the extent it confused the out of whoever transcribed those lyrics Wotyzoid posted). |
