| Does anybody have any suggestions on where to stay in Vegas the weekend of this event near the strip for a decent price? I'm not doing Monster this year considering the cluster of a party it's become over the years. Plus this line up looks awesome!! |

Silverton is kinda off the strip but usually has the best pricing or by the strip, Terrible's Casino's ok, also try Tuscany Hotel on Flamingo Rd. Or if you really want to go cheap, go old downtown Las Vegas.
I might go to this event also. I hope i can make it. |

I'd recommend staying @ a nicer place if it's only a lil more vs. a place that has hospital looking hallways like Imperial Palace.
I'd recommend Mandalay Bay/The Hotel, MGM, New York New York, Monte Carlo, Paris, Ballys, Bellagio, Ceasars, Hard Rock Hotel, Palms, Mirage, Treasure Island, Harrahs, Venetian, Pallazzo and Wynn. (If your budget permits) |

The Orleans is about 3 miles west of the strip on Tropicana. It's near nothing.
For cheap, i'd look at staying there.
Otherwise, either rent a car or cab it over the city.
(I've walked from MGM to Hard Rock...those are "close", and that took 45 minutes!) |

Can't wait for my first American party experience ! :D |

you have to remember though, hotels in vegas are only for sleeping. It's not like people hang out in their rooms anymore.
but I would recommend any MGM MIRAGE property :p Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excalibur, New York, New York, MGM Grand, The Signature, Monte Carlo, Bellagio, Treasure Island, The Mirage, or Circus Circus....and not just because they sign my check ;) but because they rock! heheheh |

Stay @ the Orleans, it's next door to the Orleans Arena. It's decent and the rooms are big with wide screen TV plus it's kinda on the strip but on a different street. |

True
However people may try act cheap and save an extra $50 a night on a room but at the same time they'll lose $100 at a blackjack table and not even care. |
