new album in the works...
the collaboration with morgan page is going well...in fact, so well, that we've decided to put our eyes on making it a full length album project.
the album will work as a vehicle to launch the british singer jan burton as a solo act and very much in line with the work he did for gabriel & dresden on our debut album in 2006. at present jan is also working with his original band syntax on the follow up to thier amazing 2004 album "meccano mind". you can link up with syntax by looking in my top friends under "syntax official site"
so far we have 5 songs in demo stage and you can see some photos of us in the studio this past week in the pics section of this site.
no idea when this project will be released, whether or not we will self release it or seek a label or what the first single is. i've been playing the song "i've had friends" in my sets for the past two months and we also have plans on doing a cover version of a very cool 90's indie dance tune that fits jan's voice amazingly.
exciting times are here again :)

| Well there's the obvious gut assessment that he's just not that good solo, yet he somehow manages to keep getting talented people to work with him so hes got to bring something to the table. |

That's what happens when you're a no talent hack but have a name that will still sell records to idiots who don't know any better.
This is pretty much exactly what I would have expected from Dave. |
