Sucks about the car getting broken into. Makes me wonder if I will ever head out to that part of town again. Seems like every week someones car is getting broken into down that way. Hmmmm. |
why so many break ins near 1015....ive never spent much time in this area other than going to 1015 or getting into/outta town. Is it a bad area in general, or is it more of thugs knowing people go to 1015 and it not being such a busy area as say union square(plus they have nothing but parking garages etc) Maybe parking up in protrero hill and then cabbing down is the safer(yet inconvenient) way to go. |

Car Break ins are very common in SF. Yes it sucks! My truck have been broken into atleast 6 times in the last 5 years. Twice in an unattended paid parking lot!
It does not matter where you park your vehicle in the city, if there is no Parking Attendant at the lot you parked at, your vehicle is at risk!
The best deterent is not to leave anything out in your car that can be seen from the outside. I don't care if it's not worth anything, hide everything in your trunk! If you drive a Van or the license plate frame in your vehicle has a city other than San Francisco, you are an automatic target just because you are a tourist and most likely you have a lot of belongings in your vehicle.
The $20 parking next to Ten15 is your best bet. It's attended and I never had any problems with them. |

sucks :(
still has never happened to me weekend after weekend. just take care of the basics: park underneath a streetlight (sure, you'll have to walk 5 more car lengths) park near the corners or where you think there is lots of passing traffic or foot traffic, don't leave ANYTHING laying on your seats or floor, etc. |

yup, cool vibe right from the beginning. i appreciated the tracks this night. trance has been on the down for me for many months as i've been doing more techno and house, but last few weeks trance has been making a come back for me. |

I like how people always associate their break-ins of their vehicle with the club or place their visiting... Like its their fault.
Sucks getting your car broken into. Its happened to me a few times, but cant go and blame the club, or place your visiting...
Usually in SF wherever I park, if there is broken glass that can be seen in the alleyway, or where im gonna park.... I wont park there.
That parking by 1015 is now 20? I remember it only being 10 bucks most of the time, where are you parking Jay?
Another word of advice is DO NOT MAKE FUN OF THE BUMS OR BELITTLE THEM. If you have a couple bucks, be generous.
Nothing like comin back to your car after bein somewhere after these guys go ape on your cars, including taking bricks and throwing them through windshields, or taking a in your car after they break a window |

That is always the best bet. I remember being at 1015 years ago with my buddy - he asked me for some money and I was like "Why?". He gave it to the homeless man that was chillin there. My buddy told me, "Cause 5 bucks will make sure your car wont get broken into". It's a good rule of thumb.
I know that lot Jay is talking about, last time I was there, that was where I parked and it seemed like a good spot. Wasn't full, and the guys were really nice. |

I wasn't implying any blame on the club or anything like that. Everything was concealed in my car in the trunk, so it was just bad luck. The thief, "Mohamed" as it said on his cell phone, only got away with a bag of my dirty womens gym clothes, some school work and a pair of Oakley sunglasses, maybe a cumulative total of $300 worth of stuff. He left behind my happy hardcore and UK hard house CDs and my favorite pair of Cole Haan heels though, hahahah.
This wont deter me from going to 1015 in the future. I always have a good time there! |

Just sayin in general chelseeyah... Sometimes people relate the crimes to the places they are going, or they went that night. Sorry if I made it look like I stated it was you saying that. (which you werent)
Have you tried calling one of the people on his phone? His name is Mohamed? Haha.
:D |

:)
I though about harassing some of the recently called people for information but the battery was just about dead so I turned the phone over to the police Sunday and I filed a police report along with it.
Someone told me I should have looked for his parents or grandparents number in the phone and called them and told them their son broke in my car and stole all my belongings, LOL. ZING! |

Don't feel so bad now ........ those Happy Hardcore CDs are hard to find nowadays. They are worth a fortune to some of the house parties I used to play at :haha: :haha: :haha: |
