I had one for about two weeks and it never worked as advertised. It's a great idea, but its software and firmware is buggy as hell and Novation's support is pretty horrid ever since Focusrite got involved. The drivers caused all kinds of conflicts with my other software (e.g., PhotoShop, Adobe Premier). And, like most of the post-Focusrite products, it's built like a cheap plastic toy. I'd save your money.

I'll second this. I just bought a Remote 61 SL, and the automap software basically works about half the time. Sometimes it disconnects in mid-session, or doesn't connect at all. Overall, a disappointment for sure. I'll probably hold on to the controller for a bit just for the 61 keys, but I'll be eBaying it sooner rather than later.

out of all control surfaces I've ever had, there's only one that I've been missing a lot recently, that's the mackie control which I have sold because I couldn't pay my bills anymore.

Everything else didn't do it for me.

If I had money, I'd get a jazzmutant surface, but 3000$ ahem ahem...

So, andy, save money, and wait a little. There's much better on the way, that's for sure.

L.

Edit: That said, Novation keyboards look nice although pricey.

I've had no major issues with the remote 61 and Logic. If logic ever crashes I have to go to "Control Surface Setup" and "Scan for all models" to get it to work again, but other than that it's been very stable.

Same here. Got the Remote SL 25 and it's working great. I use it only for controlling VST's, as that's what it's best for anyway. No crashes, no problems (FLStudio, cubase). Recommended.

Course not. Motorised faders are wanky. Novation 37 with ableton live here, it works fine. I only wish I had a bit more in the knob department - but who doesn't?
Its a decent bit of kit IMO, not sure if I'd bother with a zero though, maybe look at the bitstream or evolution kit? The Remote software works fine for production but you'd NEVER use it live by the way, its much too restrictive.
