Ruby Skye - dress code? advance tickets?

I'm heading down to SF for the first time next weekend and intending to check out Ruby Skye on Saturday to hear Steve Porter. Unfortunately we're leaving right before the festivities the following week :(
I noticed a dress code listed for Ruby Skye on ticketweb, such as no sneakers. Is this strictly enforced? I tend to chose comfort over style for a club night, so just wondering...
Is it best to get tix in advance through ticketweb or can we easily grab them at the door?
is there typically a lineup? if so, what's the best time to arrive to avoid it?
thanks! |

Mark, get on the guestlist and save yourself the cover use that to spend at the bar. If you have black/brown shoes you will be fine. White shoes, sportwear are the 2 big nono's. jeans, and a fashionable t-shirt are fine. have fun in SF! |

I've worn all kinds of shoes w/o issue to Ruby. If the rest of you is dressed well, you should be OK
Just don't show up in Nike Basketball Shoes.
Tennis or runnign shoes in the realm of say, Sketchers, is typically A-OK.
