Advice about production for a total beginer?

Hi i'm interested in trying to make my own music & was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how i could start?

Be prepared to put in a lot of time and effort.
Also try reading lots of posts from this forum. There's some great guys on here who know there . If you get stuck, search the forum.
You will get better results rather than "how do I use this or how do I use that" Experiment, that's the key to success
People learn at different rates so don't expert to learn how to produce overnight. It's not going to happen friend

| obviously do what they said, but id definatly get a midi keyboard if your serious even before trying out demos, helps alot to get a feel of the software your trying, playing notes with mouse is dire! |

Ill give u some Advice!
1.Dont buy Protools!
2.Get a new mac if u want to make EDM or any kind of music u make!
3.Dont spend money on bull gear! (Im thinking about buying a akai mpc 1000 but why?)
4.Study Music
5.If u live in the getto dont tell ever one u have a pimp studio u may get RObbed!
6.Dont use drugs! :)

Check out some free tools first and if it's fun and you want to learn more think about investing in some more equipment and learn some music theory and production techniques.
some free stuff to start with
sequencer = reaper (there will be others but dont know myself)
audio editor = wavosaurus
synths = synth1, audjoo helix, tal uno, tal bassline, zebra cm
sampler = shortcircuit

| get an external drive to have your files on and start with for example propellerhead reason - it has all in one. |
