thats because u live in a ty state. i paid 280 dollars every month for cigna in ny. i dont know about u but if im gonna pay almost 300 dollars a month in insurance i want something in return, i could save that money, thats 3,360 dollars more i can put away or invest in something. |

| sounds like some people in this thread have either never seen a RITM show or dont like RITM. bias is at work here. if it was one of their favorite artists they would not be criticizing him for not having insurance that covers this particular occupational hazard. and another thing, he's not asking for handouts, this is the doing of his fans and friends. iow, this is totally different from that producer chick asking for money to buy gear we had a few months ago. |

I agree with you for the most part. But I think publicly asking your fans to help you out with a personal problem, such as an injury, is a little pathetic. What, exactly, were they doing with the money they've been receiving for the past 10 years?
Someone with a rather unconventional job, i.e. performer/actor, doesn't get a regular paycheck. No health insurance, no 401 K, no financial "security" necessarily. Are we going to start having DJs doing retirement gigs now? "I didn't save any money from all the years I've been performing, so now I'm just going to flat out ask"? ty imo. |
