Catholics, Lutherans, and crazy Evangelical idiots that all the Catholics and Lutherans constantly mock.

Quite a funny little judgmental dynamic here actually.

When you say that they still try to hand over all their leaflets or when you shut the door on them post them to your letterbox. These people hate being told no. I've tried allsorts of with them from 'I'm muslim' to 'help me, i've got an estonian hooker bleeding profusely in the bath' but it doesn't stop them :whip:

People here are mostly Christian, yet almost none of them act accordingly.

I'm agnostic and I think religion is dumb.

No.

If you tell them, nicely, that you're not interested they'll think you're nice so they might be able to persuade you. If you tell them no, not so nicely, and shut the door they'll knock again and say " why not, if you talk to us we can rid the anger blablabla" and still stick papers on or in your door. If you're super duper lucky, they'll come back the next day and try again. :gsmile:

Right by my house is a Greek Orthodox church, a Moslem mosque, and a Methodist church all next door to each other. I think they even share a parking lot. Talk about religious harmony.

religions are fairy tales

I lived in Portland Oregon last year and live in Eugene Oregon this year. Quite secularized in both cities, but it seems like those who are religious are very religious, but that's just my perception.

Supposedly Oregon and Washington are the least religious states in the US and my time spent living in Oregon would agree with that conclusion.

In glasgow, Muslims tried to blow up our airport. Pretty rich of them considering we've had religious war in glasgow for 400 years. and they don't even have a football team hahahaha.

In Greece is Christian orthodox. They have lots of power and money those bastards (they own huge properties through-out Greece and with the huge amounts of money that they have, they could turn this country into some kind of primary European economic power or something...). Lately it seems though that they are not as influential as they used to be, Thank God.

they're beginning to really piss me off. It's harassment, especially nearby where there's a lot of elderly people on a street close to us, who are vulnerable and can be taken in by these idiots. I don't mind that they have their beliefs but trying to force it upon us, especially on a near weekly basis, they can right off.

I hear that. When I was younger and the ing Jehovah's Witnesses would be doing their door to door indoctrination schemes, my dad would answer the door with his gun in his hand on purpose and they'd their pants... he'd go "oh, sorry I was just cleaning my gun... can I help you?" They would nervously walk away.

I live in the bible belt also... lots of Baptists and here. Lots of ing hypocites too. Every time I see people in restaurants or something after church, they're all gossiping and talking about people they had just seen in church. I read a study that more sexual deviance related arrests and a higher percentage of porn purchases per capita go down in the bible belt. Hilarious.
