I obviously support the right to choose, but one of the guys I work with (who calls himself a Democrat) is vehemently opposed to it, being a devout Catholic. He even said that he shouldn't have to pay our school's health fees because the doctors there prescribe the morning after pill if we need it, and he's morally opposed to that, too. He wants to lead a protest of the health center to get them to stop counseling women on family planning.

So by the end of this terrible conversation, I looked at him and said that I was going to abort my first child and send him the pictures.

I thought he was going to cry.

:wtf:

But, it shut him up and he didnt talk to me for a week.

So, did I go too far, or not far enough?

Why did you concede that it would be your first 'child'?

Ang, I approve, but you should have also pointed out to him that he should do more research on why he shouldn't push his views on everyone else.

Religion != Politics and Law

Your workmate should either return to the 15th century or sacrifice himself to the greatness of my pen0r.

You didn't go far enough and tell him you're pregnant and stick his hand up & let him do the abortion himself :toothless

too far at work, if your employee relations department got involved you'd be suspended pending investigation. I doubt you could be terminated, but that is not a work discussion ;)

If you were anywhere outside of work, you didn't go too far :)

It's undertandable that he's opposed to abortion. If he considers life to begin at conception then he's going to have the same outlook on abortion as he is on murder. For you to say you're going to abort is the same as saying you're going to kill a born person as far as he's concerned.
