How Do You Find New Music Before It's Overplayed? (pg. 3)

If your using Beatport add some of your fav artists and thier labels to your favourites, then check them out and thier labels. If they do a colab you liked add the other artist and his label, rinse, repeat.

Its not hard, its just time consuming. However its rewarding to find a track by a completly unheard of artist that blows you away.

u check the music sites like beatport or ministry of sound

The only guys who get to play exclusive tracks are the big Producer/lable owner/DJs. If you are not one of them you're not gonna be able to get your hands on any.

you could always start producing your own tracks

Stop worrying about whether you're cutting edge or playing overplayed music, just play what you like.

+1

Although then again I'm a stupid 15 year old bedroom dj. At least on isratrance they get to complain about "theres too many good artists, why can't there just be a few good big names". There will allways be tons of music that could have been popular but isn't. If your not necessarily playing what you most like, play that.

I check dj tracklists & d/l them - just make sure its a dj thats on the ball with his selection, & someone thats a lil more original than the average jock..

ok , i am out of trance and i am into techno and minimal ,

check blogs , and DISCOGS is one of the best things around , although i find releases thats not updated there yet , but dicogs and forums that put out releases from label and netlabels is a great option

P.S. going underground is the key

its not what you've got or how many times its been played, its how you use it. dance music is inherently disposable, get used to it and do your own thing!
