the thing is foreign investors will own half of the country if this continues.
for the first time in ages canadian companies are buying out american ones and not the other way around. Let us not even get into how much arab interests are picking up at bargain prices. |

1. Stock holders lose everything.
2. Bond holders lose everything.
3. Anyone doing business with them may lose a lot. Example: I've given Lehman Brothers $100 million to trade for me in the futures market. They go bankrupt. I want my money back. I am now told, they no longer have the money....Obviously a firm like Lehman is dealing with billions of dollars, not millions, so such an effect would be catastrophic to the market. |
