Saw Josh Gabriel on Saturday, and boy did that make me realize what a black hole Dave Dresden was on that duo.

probably felt like it was and took it down lol
i called him out on 'i've been waiting' considering he sampled a silversun pickup song. if that wasn't bad enough, he even went the measure to call the song his own was making a buck off it too.
spoke to the band about it and they didn't know / gave permission to do that. i hope they sued his ass :stongue:

It's called a bootleg remix. I know it's probably a new concept to you. Some of the best remixes I've heard have been made from acapellas floating around on the web.
If every song that had a ripped sample or unauthorized acapella in dance music was reported on and the remixers were sued, many of the most classic tracks would have never been made.
But I'm sure it's much more satisfying to rat out producers in a genre that's largely under the radar to prove an empty point. |
