because then every person that sends invites would be blocked by others and event application will become useless. |
not really. there is a facebook feature which allows you to block all application invites from specific users. by extending this feature to your one or two Event spammers you would have no invites from these people while at the same time being able to receive important event invites (eg. sister's bday etc) |

well then you won't be able to receive emails from the friends you actually want to hear from. |
just sign into your facebook account every couple days, and you'll find out who actually wants to talk to you. |

| you could simply ask that the person remove you from their "mass sendout" lists |

why do you need getting emails, if you are already getting messages on facebook? |

I like to consolidate all my messages/emails etc. I'm a man of simplicity.
I'm sure there are others like me. |

I noticed the decrease in event spam since the time I left all sorts of promotion and Dj support groups, those spammed me the most
otherwise I can only suggest that you remove the friends who send you the most invites, that's all, life won't end if you don't have them on FB |

Oh, and I hate getting like four invites to the exact same event. One is enough!!! |
I got invited to 11 different Labour of Love events, haha |

turn off email notifications completely. thats what I did :) |
+1 ...
IMO most people check facebook on a fairly regular (if not more so ) basis .... and if you do the email notifications are useless ... when i had them ... i would tend to be on facebook before the email would even come
and honestly
they take literally one single click at an avg of 2 secs to get rid of even if you get 15 a day who cares ... you just wasted 30 secs of a day ...
we all waste more time then that ...
And if that bothers you ... un-friend people and leave the groups.... you joined them to be informed ... its your choice ...

| I made a "facebook" folder in my hotmail account which all my facebook notifications get sent to. |

Exactly.
I still get event invites ALL THE TIME from people AROUND THE WORLD! So annoying, but there's nothing you can do but take the 0.02 seconds and remove from your events. |
