BIO:
A DJ since ‘96, beginning his career at many of the UK’s major dance events (at clubs such as The End, Magna and Camden Palace) and one of the original Mixmag ‘Future Hero’s, Jon has been a regular at some of the most exciting clubs and events of the era. Fusing almost anything including Techno, House, Breaks and pumping Progressive House, Jon’s unique and diverse blend of sounds has won him many admirers globally. Things are really taking off for this rising talent having now played at many of the major dance festivals across the world including Dance Valley, Ultra Festival, Global Gathering, Sonar, Future Music and the Big Day Out festivals, as well as many major clubs across the world including gracing the decks of the infamous terrace at Space in Ibiza. Having previously set up Trackitdown.net and run Intec records for Carl Cox, Jon knows good production when he hears it and his own production work has really come to the forefront recently, having made his mark with a variety of well acclaimed tracks including both Electro and DnB remixes for Cox’s last artist album ‘Second Sign’ and being responsible for one of the freshest and most widely supported (support from Tenaglia, Ben Sims & John Digweed) techno tracks on Intec, ‘Dirty Disco’. Jon’s house remix of Get What You Paid 4! by Carl Cox (featuring Saffron from Republica) was Jons way of proving that he can produce much more than techno as this was commercially released in 2006 and charted highly in America’s Billboard charts. Jons’ high quality production across genres is further supported through his other releases over the last few years. An EP release on Trevor Rockcliffe’s Mentor label made him the first artist other than Rockcliffe to ever appear on his label. A huge remix of ‘Bad Clock 04’ by Sébastien Leger has been consistently hammered by Paul Van Dyk (with Essential Mix plays, plus regularly on his Vonyc and Soundgarten show amongst other tracks of Jons). Jons ‘London EP’, including tracks ‘Rock’ and ‘Nemesis’ have been in the play-lists of many. Just recently Jon has been working hard on some exciting new solo productions – his latest releases ‘Our Floor’ and ‘What is it’ have been signed to Paul Van Dyks Vandit Digital label. A slamming remix of ‘After Dark’ has been released on Adam Sheridans new imprint ‘Carnival Junkie’ and his remix of a classic old school track is set to be signed to a major.

Production wise, times are looking busy for Jon over the coming years. Jon has just been working alongside Carl Cox in the studio working on tracks for his next album as well as his own projects.Recent gig highlights show how Jon has progressed DJ wise over the last year or so. Jon started 2007 off with a massive tour of the ‘Future Music Festivals’ across Australia; often playing to no less than 20,000 people, taking in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Auckland and Sydney. A year later he has recently completed a tour of equal, if not bigger magnitude, this time for the ‘Big Day Out festivals’ across Australia, this time adding Perth and The Gold Coast to areas he has spread his sound too. Summer 2007 saw Jon play at Live at Loch Lomond Festival in Scotland as well as gracing the decks of the new terrace at Space in Ibiza, for the busiest ever Carl Cox ‘King of Clubs’ night, and warming things up for Danny Tenaglia on the inside terrace at Dannys’ exclusive night at Space in Ibiza for a second time in 07.

Radio wise, Jons mixes have been impressing audiences worldwide with live mixes going out recently on stations including Radio1, FG France, Sirius, JJJ and Kiss in Aus. Jons new monthly radio show, aptly named “Dirty Disco’ will be reaching out to wider audiences across the airwaves too. Dirty Disco takes us through his tracks of the month and gives us a taste of what he’s about musically. Listen out for some exclusive Rundell bootlegs, remixes, new tracks and exclusive live recordings from his shows around the world. Dirty Disco is syndicated to various stations across the globe including VONYC, Danceradio and Ibiza Global radio.

Jons balance of work, production and Djing are definetly keeping him busy. There are big plans for 2008 and if things continue the way they have been for Jon, we have a very big star in the making.
