The reason I liked the UK version more than the US one is because it highlighted some really awkward (and embarassingly funny) moments at the office that I felt was something that some of us could relate to on a daily basis. The UK cast did a really good job in portraying this really well (obv. Ricky Gervais did an amazing job). I appreciated that fact that the UK version stuck to the documentary format throughout the series, whereas the US one kind of deviated from it at times. |
Totally agreed. THE UK one seems much more realistic and way more awkward and uncomfortable to watch. I've had a friend tell me to turn it off during a scene because he was so uncomfortable watching it (didn't hurt that he was high at the time). It's much more quiet and raw which adds to the realism. It actually feels like a documentary is taking place
The US one is funnier and more zany. It's kind of like a cartoon at times due to Carrell's antics. I think it has to be this way because some (or most) American's don't have the patience to appreciate the style of the slower paced UK version.

Last's night ep was grand.
She was sleeping w/ the supply guy for years (still is), and admitted to it! LOL
The end was my fav... them all eating the free food and steak... brilliant! Hahahaha |

S.5.E.1 had some hilarious moments! It was a great start to the new season :) I'll download the new ep and check it out soon.
But as for best show, I cannot agree: LOST, for one, is a much superior--albeit entirely different--program. |

| Curb starts filming their next season this December for what I'm guessing to be a fall premiere |

Last night's episode, the intro before credits was abt one of the funniest things I've ever seen from this show in a long time!

I was ing laughing voraciously out loud and serious almost crying it was so funny!
The shots of Jim's face in the bloody office pandemonium was brilliant!
That office was ing ridiculous with Dwight, Michael and the other guy w/ the watermelon baby birth.
All the screaming... it was out of control, ing amazing scene.
That's an example of why I love that show... that such a scene as that happens... |
