| I still haven't shot myself for not going to the pool, but I should have. The epicity of Pryda was just too much for Tom and I to stay awake :p |

Yeah, I used to be all about the lazer/unicorn trance. I never really gave house a chance until I went to WMC. John Digweed, Eric Prydz, James Zabiela, etc got me into it. I could never understand minimal and techno until I experienced Hawtin live, and after that I was hooked.
So yeah, the epic commercial trance did get a little old after awhile, but it was actually experiencing what else was out there that made me stop liking it. I still listen to trance, although now its the more progressive and techy stuff that I like. I think I have a pretty well rounded taste in dance music. | Where did you see zabiela? |

Saw him at the One Plus One Party, and also caught a little bit of his set at Ultra. |

Oh , too bad I didn't know you guys then. That set was a mind.
Wish I could have seen him at the pool, too. |

I got into electronic music back in 2003/2004 so of course my favorites are tracks from that time.
Motorcycle - yeaheayhasefjklhsdf :(
Enmass - CQ
Deepsky that Markus Schmultz remix
the Coldharbour twinkleprog and Tijschrist 2003/2004 sets. The more darkish *prog* sound of that time I guess. I also used to listen to ASOT like a mofugga.
Now I'm into downtempo/dubstep/triphop/experimental/lo-fi/neo-folk. Woowoo! |

Nah...we rolled out like right after zabs and nic were done. I remember getting so sick that night. |

| Most people who have seen me post before on the subject know how I feel. Even though I have evolved a bit in the 4 years I've been listening to this type of music, I honestly don't think house will ever replace my love for trance. Even though trance may not have anything new and fresh all the time, if it isn't broke, don't fix it. I think there is enough good, new stuff coming out that I don't ever get bored with it. There are a handful of house tracks, and other genres for that matter, I really do enjoy, but it will never come close to the number of trance songs I like. You know, when I saw Deadmau5, I really enjoyed it, but then when I went and saw Markus Schultz, I was once again reminded why trance is what I love. |
