I was playing roller hockey on monday. I was doing a penalty shot with a goalie, i was going very fast. I went around the net into the boards, but i couldnt stop in time. My left hockey skate hit the board sttraight on and went all the way up, with the speed + body weight i heard a nice crunch. As soon as i try to get up, my ankle was just dangling. Great, called 911, went to ER.
They started popping in my ankle without the xray first and a small dosage of domaplehe (sp?) which is supposed to be better than morphine. BULL. I was in immense pain when they were trying to set the bones. After Xray i got the bad news. The tibia, fibula ankle ligaments and other bones broke....
I went into surgery tuesday at 11 am and i have screws and plate inside of me.
Im 25 and this is my first major bone breakage and a surgery. Im in pain, but im trying not to take percocet. Im going back on the 6th to get the stitches off, get xray done and get a half a cast.
6 weeks of no walking, ing great.

sorry it happened but take advantage of it and go to parties with a wheel chair and skip all the lines.

| Dam dude I know how that feels join the club of breaking a bone while play hockey..I broke my left knee while a playing in a a junior D's palyoff game I got my knee put into the boards by the captian of the albany River Rats and I broke my foot while playing roller hockey jumped over the boards and got cliped by the other team as I was going over the board into the rink so yeah welcome to the club I have to get surgery from a hockey accident lol get well soon mate |
