Yeah he played it in the last half hour when the dancefloor was a wasteland of empty bottles and water was dripping on the last 100 people in the place. It was awesome. Those vocals give me the cold shivers.

It was a good night overall, everyone seemed to be having a really good time which is the most important thing.

To be honest, I agree with Drew when he says that Markus was doing a good job of working the crowd because they were clearly loving it. For me, I just could not get into the set. The flow just did not make sense to me. Sure, he covered alot of ground in terms of style but the programming just was not there. Anyhow, he was always enthusiastic and never hesistated with fans, so for those who enjoyed it, I'm glad for you.

Big respect to everyone, especially Sean for the VIP + everyone who was there.

P.S.: Did anyone else see Chuck Liddell sketching out on the dancefloor!!!?!?!?!:wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

My adventure began with getting absolutely totally ed up at the Argos game. I don't even remember who won. Somehow lost my cell on the way to Guv, pretty sure I left it at the cab. Oh well. Needed a new cell anyways, so I have the... encouragement to get a new one. But I digress.

Almost got denied entry. LOL. Well, still managed to get in later. Then the headache kicked in. Ohnoes.

Found the TAs up front and chilled out to the sound of Mark Oliver. Been a while since I heard the man play and he did an adequate job. Life would suck without a good opening DJ.

So Markus hits the deck and he played all trance. D'oh! I was hoping for more proggy set but ah well. Life's not perfect. Very trancey set. Kicked it up a few notch with some techy tunes sprinkled in the middle just to change things up a bit. I didn't think there was anything wrong with his track selection and programming, as he was reading the crowd very well. He was having so much fun on the decks. That man sure loves Toronto.
His mixing was pretty good, but very simple. I guess because he had 6 hours would drag on some transition for a while. Eh

Although he did play Big Sky (UGH!) and Can't Sleep (BLECH!), singalong to vocal trance can be so fun. Daydream! In the words of Tyler, fa kin su pah! Wish he played the vocal mix of Perception because that's what everyone was probably familiar with (and probably would have brought the club down) but the dub mix still rocked. Never heard this absolute brilliant classic in a club before so definitely worth the price of admission right there.

The crowd was typical Guv crowd, though wasn't bad as last week. Or maybe I was so out of it that I didn't pay attention to these things. Loved partying with TAs and meeting few new ones. Sorry if i can't remember some of your names because I suffer from CRS (Can't Remember ). Best part was TAs being front and centre... and staying there. Been a while.

By 515 came, the headache felt like 10 monkeys were having sex in my head and I wasn't invited and I was actually feeling hungover. So called it quits and went home.

Overall I was very happy that I made this trip, even if I'm so paying for it today. Schulz delivered a pretty decently crafted trance set by reading the crowd to near perfection, setting the vibe that last throughout the night. Although I didn't get to hear the prog I was hoping for, house will get me grooving, but nothing gets me dancing like a good trance set.

Overall: 9/10

random thoughts
-Argos game was pretty fun, but nothing like a Toronto FC game for atmosphere
-saw a man dressed as a pirate on the bus station. skeeeetch!
-Bay St was closed for the marathon. Saw lots of cops blocking off the streets. Asked one dude, 'what sin did you commit to be up working at this ungodly hour?' lol
-holy people were smoking weed like a grow op just gave out freebies. if i got tested right now, I'd probably in jail. annoying weed smell!
-one of the best pleasure about being a TA is meeting new TAs and partying with them. since when did we lose focus on that?
-good to see people I haven't seen in ages
-I'm never doing a Guv event drunk again
-what was up with the sound again? although you could actually hear the highs and the lows, the bass was too freaking loud again.
-lasers were less used and less overpowering, but still used adequately for a pretty damn good show
-sorry guys if I wasn't very... socialble. like I said, my body wasn't cooperating
