08/09 LINE UP

AUDIO UNIT (live)
Audio Unit aka Brian Clark has been producing psy-trance since
2001. In that time he has collaborated with several international
and local artists including Eskimo. He plays all original music
and has releases on Tribeadelic, Psyneumatix & Last
Xenobiology Records (under a collaboration with eskimo).
Audio Unit is a breathe of fresh air to the sometimes stale
style of modern psy-trance, and boasts crystal clear production
with tight melodies. DIGITAL MAYHEM are proud to have Audio
Unit headlining our debut event in 08/09. Keep your eyes out
for this artist.

HEFTY OUTPUT (live)
Tim and Dan Hefty have been producing for the last 7 years.
They have a bunch of releases on various labels across the
globe and countless performances and tireless travels all
across Australia. Hefty Output met in 1984 at Gumbuya Park,
"where the city meets the country", and their mutual passion
for oversized underwear led to a dynamic friendship. Tim's
amazing work on the glockenspiel combined with Dan's ability
to play drums on his own head lead to the band's formation.
After brief jail sentances for using a burnt copy of "music
2000" on a chipped playstation at their mate steve's house
(they found it in the bargain bin at eb games for ten bucks)
Hefty Output was created and have been causing chaos
amongst dancefloors and single mums on welfare ever since...

PONDSCUM (live)
Pondscum is some handsome guy called Luke from Melbourne,
Australia, who has been writing as Pondscum for about 6 years.
He favours a dark, heavy, psychedelic form of trance driven
by thick, bass heavy grooves. He'd like to think he does his
own thing, and that he really only writes music because he
enjoys getting out of his computer chair to dance around
his room to music that really floats his boat. With a
bunch of underground releases already may the force be
with you Luke....

TROLLEY (Trip Or Treat?)
Having evolved as a DJ since 2003 playing full-on cheese
through chunky morning psy into phat and funky progressive,
over the past two years, Wayne's DJ’ing has moved to a new
level with a unique sound that only he delivers. Trolley has
a presence behind the decks that demands attention and a few
laughs at the same time. Having played to thousands at
Earthcore, Tribeadelic, Rainbow Serpent Festival and many
other events, also alongside the legendary Hallucinogen,
Reefer Decree and Al Diddy. Considered to be one of
Melbourne’s finest DJ’s by many seasoned party-goers, bust
out your best smile and get ready for an unforgettable
dance floor experience.

T.D SHAGGA (Somatica)
Through his Somatica psychotic trance parties, Darren Whyte
has been a key player in cultivating Melbourne's underground
psy scene and has been a fixture in the Melbourne dance
community for the past seven years. Dirty breaks maestro,
Psy-Trauma specialist and miriad of other pigeon holeing
styles, to experience Shaggas' sets is to explore the
realm of psychedelic sound waves. With early exposure playing
for crews such as Nocturnal & Peak, Shaggs can now claim
on his roster appearances at large scale festivals, such
as Earthcore & Rainbow Serpent. With a string of
International heavyweight supports the calibre of Shift,
Artifakt, Krumelur, Antix, Infected Mushroom, Atmos,
Logic Bomb, and more.

DENHAM JAY (Interview)
Denham's passion for dance music began about last 15 years
ago, but only as recently as 2007 at the ripe old age of
34, he dream of becoming a DJ became a reality. Persistence
and a firm belief in myself saw me score my first opportunity
in March 2007 playing at Interview vs Push alongside Ben Evans.
I learned to develop my own style playing anything from
trance, tech-trance and most recently progressive and
psy-trance. In the short time he's been playing he has
already supported international acts such as Mark Sherry,
JOOF, Perfect Stranger, Sun Control Species, Kuffdam,
Chwen, Marcel Woods, Tenisia, Scott Project, Wippenberg,
Space Tribe, Tyuoshi Suzuki, S.U.N Project and Dave The
Drummer.

REDLINE (pTp)
Redline aka Roy Lewis began DJ'ing to Melbourne's Psy
punters in 1999. Since that time he's played at a tonne
of local gatherings all over Australia as well as overseas
in Greece, India and Malaysia. Roy was renowned in the
early '00's' for creating the underground party outfit
called 'GaneshaTribe' which became 'Imajica' in 2002 and
folded in 2004. After some "time out" from the trance
circuit Roy's fire in the belly has been too strong to
contain and he now manages a new project 'part-time-perfection'
or pTp which hosts the DIGITAL MAYHEM event. Redline's
sets vary however he has now committed to maintaning his
"full on" style and has begun producing not only psy,
but other favoured styles as well...

CACOPHONY (BigRedBus)
Cacophony, aka Sharonne Walters, is by no means an unfamiliar
face in the Melbourne trance community. Her eclectic taste
in funky progressive sounds has made her renowned for
getting a dance floor grooving. Since 2001, she has been
entertaining dance floors all around Victoria and the East
Coast of Australia, including Rainbow Serpent and
Earthcore festivals. In 2005, Cacophony found herself
DJing her way across Israel after which she held a residency
in Tokyo’s famous Yoyogi park. Currently associated with
the Big:Red:Bus crew, Cacophony’s flexible approach to
daytime music always puts a refreshing twist to the party groove.

DEUTRONIUM
Deutronium (David Norrish - Melbourne, Australia) has been
producing psytrance for almost 10 years. His sound does not
fit neatly into any single sub-genre. Dave's DJ sets are
also a force to be reckoned with. Full of power and energy,
Melodic and uplifting merged with driving and psychedelic,
his sets always satisfy dancers and chin-strokers alike.
