With Rene Amesz mix - the original brings a huge grin to my face just imagining how I'm sure the Chicago (among many others) kids react to this one.
Also, I really think that for a tune that relies pretty heavily on the fun of the vocal sample, this one isn't a particularly predictable "big room" tune - reminds me a fair bit of a lot of the stuff on Gabriel's album. Also a bit of Joris Voorn there in the end, really top sounding stuff.
It's in my bag.

ive played the amesz remix at every gig ive had the past month, and its destroyed every time. the vocal is just no nonsense fun. |

Nope, really dig it. Sure, the vocal is mindless dancefloor fun - but I still really like the paddy/synth/woooshy noises early on, and the cut up/glitchy stuff @ 3:00 and the aforementioned Voorn sounding stuff at 5:00 are right up my alley.
At the end of the day it's a tune that knows what it is and does it well, and I'd much rather play stuff like this (and similar stuff from the new Gabriel album) than any of the Dubfire or Popof rubbish that has commercial success. |
