I just can't seem to justify having these two in our office. I hope it doesn't happen. Will Obama/Biden be any better is the question?

Does it matter? These two haven't been honest with the American public this entire campaign! Obama and Biden have at least told Americans what is wrong with this country, straight up, instead of dodging and lying about everything. Obama and Biden definitely can't fix everything, but they'll be a hell of a lot better than these two!

That's too broad a statement. His plan is to give tax cuts to the bottom 95% of the populous. People making over 250k a year will be getting tax INCREASES (since they've been getting tax CUTS for the past 8 years), regardless of if they own a business or not.

Thanks for making it clear.

when you want to increase the tax on business, tax payroll, tax health benefits for those companines, tax their 401K's and investments through the capital gains tax, who do you think is going to be affected? that same 95% he claims to be giving a tax break to. It's just a smoke screen and everyone will get hammered on the back end. Businesses will pass the cost of those taxes on to the consumer. It's not so simple as saying "Obama wants 95% of us to get a tax break... done."

Yeah, but that's not money out of our pockets, just company investments. People can afford to get their precious 401k's taxed.

just because they can afford it doesn't make it right to do. Do you want to be giving away 50% of your paycheck to government?

I think the better question is how you want the government to spend the money they'll take from you regardless of who is in power. We're going to have to pay taxes no matter what, so do you like how McCain wants to spend your money or Obama? There will always be taxes and neither candidate is going to increase the tax rate to anywhere near 50%. McCain won't drop your tax rate to zero, Obama won't raise your taxes to socialist levels. So...with the money they're going to tax from you, who wants to spend it in more productive ways?

That's ludicrous. You know his plan raises taxes for only 5% of taxpayers, and it won't be anywhere near 50%. This isn't Denmark....
And please, tell me, how do you pay for a two front war and global hegemony without raising taxes???

Actually, I'd be all for this. Think of what we could do with that kind of cash - fix public education, find renewable energy sources, invest in ecologically sound urban planning, end global poverty and treat 100% of HIV/AIDS patients rather than only 30%, eliminate malaria, measles and TB (Lord, how many markets would this open for American businesses??), and rebuild our aging roads and bridges!
But people would have to settle for Honda Civics instead of BMWs... so it probably won't be popular with Joe iPod.
