how about a no cover guestlist before 11pm for Carl Cox or Kaskade...

a certain club nearby does no cover guestlist until 1030 for first 300 and they close at 2am.

closing at 4am, an 11pm cutoff for complimentary access seems adequate.

personally I enjoy San francisco's Ruby Skye policies:

free before midnite guestlists for 90% of their events
unlimited ins/outs.

Yeah, all big name DJs play for free! Make it free the whole night! ;)

Hey whats the deal with the DJ lineup, usually 90% of the DJs that would spin in the O.C. and L.A. would also spin in S.D. Just saw the upcoming lineup looks like S.D. gets the short end of the stick. (No Ferry, Sasha, or Roger S. in S.D.)

in the last 3 months you could have seen the following for FREE at Ruby Skye

Cosmic Gate
Above and Beyond
Blank and Jones
Rank1
Starkillers
Dj Dan
Donald Glaude
Deadmau5
etc....

I post the guestlist links, so make a visit up to SF sometime and you wont even need to take pictures.

The flier seem to imply that everyone was getting a huge favor by getting to see scooter and lavelle for free...
I'm sure Sultan might have a free guestlist too, i might just drive all the way down to SD to see sultan...

LMAO! and now you are hijacking this thread!

dude, do you have a problem with Spin the nightclub? or Giant?

i've never seen bull like this. how about instead of advertising your guestlist links in other promoter threads and equating big name djs with such talents as donald glaude and above and beyond (LMAO!) you start your own threads?

i have never been to Spin or any giant event but this is too much. what a dick. :)

Spin Nightclub
It is true that we don't have "super-duper" headliners every week, however we don't see it as a bad thing, rather a way to expose everyone to ALL sorts of music. Politics of bookings are the least of things to worry about.

We want to welcome everyone AND anyone (from shiny suits to sandals and shorts) to come and enjoy themselves to be whom they want to be. That's our goal. We want you to enjoy the incomparable sound (even if others "upgrade") that can only be accompanied by the ENERGY that the crowd brings to the venue. Add to that the great visuals, lighting & lasers, the always enjoyable Co2 cooling system, multiple areas to smoke at (without leaving the venue), out door seating with one of the best San Diego skyline views and the fact that you can party till 4 in the morning.

Spin brings nightclubbing to a new level, and if you haven't had the chance to experience it we welcome to you come see it. We're not here to compare ourselves to anyone else in the city, we want everyone to have a great experience, not just another night at a club. The experience itself, wether you see Carl Cox, or Cosmic Gate (for those who think we don't bring Trance) or our elite roster of TRUE TALENT residents will be complemented with everything else.

Come and check it out...and above all have a great time. And please keep giving us feed back. Its the best way that we can accomplish our goal.
