Actually this maybe true. BPA which is used to make plastic bottles, and line the inside of cans has been linked to abnormal growth of the pituitary gland in young kids. It's new research, so still controversial, but just a thought.

I don't even know what the pituitary gland does, but think it could be screwing up kids!

I don't think you read the original post correctly. I was not talking about the hidden ones, I understand that part and realize they are out there.

I am talking about the over effeminate ones that seem to be walking on eggshells.

no, I read it correctly. I just took it in another direction.

I was simply referring to the fact that there is often a "lifestyle" and a "culture" attatched to someone who is gay.

In the past, one may have practiced the **sexual** acts of being gay behind closed doors, however, still had the stigma attatched of acting a certain "femme" way in the public eye.

Those who acted effeminate in public were criticized, harassed, and even killed. Thus, most of the "gays" kept their "lifestyle" to the bedroom and "put on an act" in public to avoid scrutiny.

However, now that the culture is more accepted, homosexuals are less likely to hide their femme side, IF this is so how they choose to live.

(this is of course, not saying that ALL gays act like queens, this is certainly not the case....hence all of the "quote" marks in my post....I am merely pointing out that gay man in the past may have had the sex, but kept their *advertisement* of being gay to a minimum as to avoid the negativity that surrounds it).

I don't care who you in your own spare time, but just quit being so ing feminine! that's what we, females, are for, geez!

Sounds like someone's envious that some boys are more feminine than they are...

Honestly who CARES?

I myself, find flamboyance annoying at times, but it's just as annoying as all the other walking cliched characters, such as ginos, deejay whores, etc.

But these characters add variety to the world, cultures, and comic relief for some. ;)

As for the topic at hand, I haven't noticed a change. There have always been a few "lispy" kids in elementary school...

Wow.

I'm sorry to say this but that was such an ignorant statement.

I agree as well, flamboyance can sometimes get a little too much...
But stating that people should keep personalities hidden because it bothers you, is completlely shallow in my opinion.

Seriously. Wow.
