Seriously though, that's sad news. To soften this blow I will now add more funnay to this thread:
I remember having a conversation with an extremely ignorant associate a while ago who lauds himself as supremely knowledgeable on dance music yet thinks deadmau5 is "minimal techo" (and also loves deadmau5, and plays deadmau5 in all his sets).
We were talking about the movie It's All Gone Pete Tong, and I explained that it's a fictional story about a DJ called Frankie Wilde, to which he replied:
"No, I'm pretty sure it's a true story about some DJ called Frankie Knuckles".
...and yes, he didn't know who Frankie Knuckles was either. |
