Mike Saint-Jules
Mike wasn't introduced to trance music until a summer day in 2002 while he was watching MTV. The show MTV's True Life: I'm A Clubber showed a few seconds of Tiesto playing Flight 643. From then on, Mike decided to get into this genre of dance music. In 2004, he purchased his DJ Equipment and began his Djing career spinning Trance, Progressive, Techno & a bit of House in his own bedroom, just like how most have started. In 2008, his first production, Sunlit Clouds was picked up by Ferry Corsten, which was to be released on one of Flashover's sublabels, Levare Recordings. Since then, he has worked on a number of remixes and collaborations. Today, his Show "Universal Soundz" is broadcasted on 3 stations (Party107, Pure.FM, SenseFM). Currently, Mike is working on new productions and collabs. This marks the time in life to show his skills to the rest of the world.
DJ Blueshift
As a child of the early 80s, Sam (aka Blueshift) grew up surrounded by great music. Never really having an early interest in music, he took a passive interest in artists of the time. The eurodance explosion of the early 90s intrigued him, however it was in the last of his teenage years when he happened upon his first "trance" track and began to search for more.
Starting out with hard house and hard trance, Sam made some early mixes and started his music collection. Since then, he has made the rounds through everything from minimal house to nu-disco and psy. Always on the lookout for the best in new music, Sam doesn't seem to stay in one subgenre for too long as the quality ebbs and flows. Sam's sets draw on this his wide knowledge of various styles and are quite varied. Currently he's playing melodic progressive house and occasionally incorporates indie dance and french house!
In 2004 Sam created an unofficial dj/producer group called Underwater Missions, which is comprised of Mike Saint-Jules, Casey Keyworth (aka Breakfast), and Sam himself. He is also co-owner and a writer for French Express (www.french-express.com), a blog, mainly for french house, but also including progressive house, indie dance, and anything 80s sounding.
Sam has played several venues in Philadelphia and New York and has also been heard on various online radio stations. |
