DJM800 Owners: How to Post/Pre EQ

This may be obvious to some, but I just worked out how to post/pre EQ with a DJM800 and 2 x CDJ1000s.
Using the digital out AND the analogue out of your CDJ1000, plug one into channel 1 and one into channel 3 of your mixer.
Have channel 3 permanently at flat EQ and you can monitor that whilst your channel 1 is at whatever EQ setting you like. Applies to filters and all effects too.
As I say - might be obvious to some, but I've owned these units for nearly 2 years now, and although I've occasionaly used both outputs of the CDJs for various effects, I've never thought of doing this. This gives you the same post/pre EQ flexibility seen on the Xone mixers.

As near as you need, you get a very slight phaser effect if you open both channels with flat EQ on each.
For the purposes of EQing and monitoring it's perfect though. |
