Quick Question About Monitors

Is Behringer a good brand for monitors?

What are your opinions on which monitors are best?

Behringers are fun, but not really good. The old ones where decent, but the newer lack definition in my opinion.

Proper quality monitors start near 700Euro per speaker imo.

You're kidding right?
You can get some pretty good monitors for around 400€ per speaker.

I guess that depends on what your demands are :). I honestly haven't heard any monitors for less than 700 that I would even consider buying at this point. I'm a bit spoiled with what I bought recently. Sorry.

As for the topic starter: As I said earlier, I would steer clear from the current Behringer monitur speaker series as they're not much good (allthough that's a personal thing, as always!). I would recommend looking into the yamaha hs80m personally. These are more expensive then the Behringers but the improvement in detail is enormous.

Hi Lucas,

I'm no expert, but KRK Rokit monitors are good for me. They are self-powered monitors and will run you about $300 US dollars for a pair.

The thing is, all monitors are created differently so I think it would be a good idea to jump in and buy yourself a low priced monitor and see how it works for you.

See if your local music shop will let you try it for 30 days. 30 days should be enough time for you to get an idea if it works for you or not.

Hope this helps.
