It is not all about the MP. You can have 100MP camera that takes worse pics than a 5MP camera.

Seems like my old 3.2mp canon camera takes better shots than my newer 8mp canon one. Pictures have less noise

Turn the ISO down. Don't use 1600 ISO unless you need it.

Once you have them uploaded to flickr, you have to right click and click properties to find the actual location/filename of the pics. Then use the img tags to post them. Or you can just copy the url and click the "IMG" button and paste the url. ;)
