My own car has also recetly been vandalized. I hosted an independant candidate on my radio show, and also mentioned that the local liberal MP had gone out of the way to help me in the past.
I was considering running as an independant this campaign also, but no elections Canada qualified auditor was willing to be my auditor, and elections Canada would not let me run even with a no expenses, no donations campaign.
The hood to my car was chipped, and there was a fluid line leak - I at first thought it was unrelated to the elections but after reading the SUN article I became more convinced perhaps this really was an intentional attack on me.

From what I read, they seem to think it could be the same nut-bar for all / most of those incidents...
