Villalobos + Luciano played for 4.5 hours the other day and then they shut down the club. Again.
You might remember, this year they were shut most of the year, stemming from a suspension from last year & a 300k Euro fine...
Now they shut down the club again due to going over the 65 PERSON CAPACITY, putting their suspension down for almost the entire 2009 season.

Yep.

Repeatedly. And Ibiza authorities have been trying to get clubs and clubbers to tone it down in recent months/years, so it really comes as no surprise.

Sad to see Ibiza go, but meh - can't blame the folks who live there if that's not really what they want.

would you like it if a bunch of british chavies were pissing all over your nice land and making property values go down?

I suppose they blame DC10 for the oil spill last year that ruined my swim shorts on Playa Talamanca too. :whip:

I've never been, but how in the hell does DC10 have a 65-person capacity?

chesco
If the license states it's only a 65 capacity then it comes as no surprise that it's getting shut again after putting on more events.

However, the question you have to ask is who is stopping them upgrading their license agreement to the proper capacity? The authorities, or other club owners on the island.

DC10 is just one of the top clubs on the island. I am pretty sure Amnesia, Pacha, Space and Privilege will still Suffice.. So no, Ibiza is going no where.

San Antonio maybe, but over on the East at Playa D'en Bossa where DC10 is, this isn't the case.

I'm a bit gutted, seems to be closed when ever I go and looks like this is the case next year to.

Imo I think its the bigger clubs having some involvement, DC10 took off pretty big and took crowds from some of the other major clubs, which I don't think were happy.

Then again.. The authorities have been moaning for the last few years regarding noise pollution etc!!!
