So nice to see so many familiar lovely faces, and glad my whore of a scarf got to spend some quality time the crowd. It smells really lovely now, so who's got the great pheromones, Ed or Wai? I'll be dreaming of both of you I'm sure.

it was up and down for me. up until 4:30ish it was great, then it got real heavy. i cannot say it was a 'bad set' because it definitely was nice, but it had a few off tracks that ferry was testing out in the crowd. was a fun night though, nice meeting you all! |

i'm with you. i went to have a good time with most of you guys and i think ferry's set was was ok. there were definitely moments. although i do think the last two times i heard him spin this year were better. breakfast imo played more of what i wanted to hear so enjoyed his set a lot. as for the scarf it must be ed unless it smells like d&g's light blue then its me ;).
it was great seeing everyone because the people definitely made this party for me :D :toothless :D.
only real negative was the pacha staff...i can't stand that none of them tell you they've already added tip and that they feel they can treat patrons like dirt. customer service is important because last time i checked they have jobs because we all go out and spend money. once again reaffirmed last night why i hate female bartenders.

| Coming from a ferry fan, I will put your mind at ease molly: I completely agree with you. I really wasnt impressed with what was being played last night. Not one of his better sets for sure. More of a review later. Still sooo hungover :( :( :( |

I must say I have to agree with you Molly. Looking back I was trying to decide if I felt that way because I'm just not into trance so much anymore, or perhaps because you were standing next to me saying "This is not so good. Ok I'm going to stop complaining now. Yea, this really isn't doing much for me..." But no, it wasn't due to either one of those things. I've seen Ferry 2 other times this year and I enjoyed those sets much more. Ah well. Maybe next time will be better.

Have to agree with you here too Wai. The staff outside managing the vip line and the hostess who showed us to our table were impeccable and very courteous. However the waiter guy who had our table was sooooooooooo annoying! He wouldn't leave me alone. Anytime he did one little thing like stack a glass or pick up a napkin, he made a big point of showing me. And then proceeded to look at me with this sad puppy face wanting a tip. Dude! They already included a $70 gratuity on the check!! I finally gave him ten bucks so he would leave me alone! yeesh.
Other than that I really had a lovely time. Didn't want to make this whole post sound like a complaint. It was great seeing all the dear familiar faces and making new friends as well. Lisa introduced me to a friend of hers, Aleks, and it seemed a lot of you guys knew him as well. What a nice guy.
Overall musically, the night gets a C. But for friends and fun, A++!
Smooches :) |

no no, it wasn't bad just not what people usually expect from ferry. you actually DID miss out. also, for those that were paying attention to the guy in the white tux that was like 70 and doing the moon walk on the main floor, i saw him walking out with a young guidette around 6am! |

| Breakfast's set was really nice i was loving it. The area behind the decks felt like the NYTA booth. Filled with all the TA'S Good seeing familiar faces and meeting a lot of new ppl. Great meeting Victor, Cowboy mike, Uncle ED, Robdawg and the world famous MELLY Mel for the first time :) |

Lol guess the set wasn't even "Review-Thread" worthy.
This wasn't the Ferry i heard at BeB or at Pacha back in April. I digged some of his new tracks (at least, they sounded like new Ferry tracks), but it felt like his set was missing that ooomph factor. Pretty much after Smack My Bitch Up, he lost me completely. Lol i think the last time I was at pacha was for Ferry actually... or was it SvD? I can't remember... but the crowd last night was not my favorite. I wish I was upstairs with the rest of you guys...
However, track of the Night was Out There (5th Dimension) - Daniel Kandie's Bangin' Mix and Madness also pumped me up for a bit too.
Congrats to Casey and Big Mike - it was great to hear your new collab through Pacha speakers.
Disclaimer: i was also running on 4 hours of sleep, so maybe that's why Ferry didn't hit the spot this time. :conf: |
