mike made a great 2003 remake and let it die after that
now these new remakes are utter
i understand they are tryin to slow it down to a more prog sound

yes he is, he did only approve the Harcourt remix if my source is right.
the new Strange World remixes are even worser :(

Pretty nice to hear how a producer takes on such a remix, but kinda lame how he's cunningly referring to the infamous "4 hour" myth. :p
The remix itself is decent I guess, but once again a typical remix that in the end doesn't really differ significantly from the original. The only version of UN that sounded like an actual structural remix to me was Oliver Lieb's take... |

that was my first thought too, really dig that guy mearns remix is awesome although is has almost nothing to do with what universal nation is all about, ... maybe that explains why i like it so much ;)
as for the re-re-re-re-issues: if you think universal nation with the 10.000 remixes is terrible, you should listen the new re-re-re-re-issue of strange world, ... it's bad :nervous: |
