I agree, it was more a joke about the not "real"ness of the Leafs as an NHL game. |

the younger players have 2 way contracts (minor league vs nhl)...the only time their salaries do not count towards the cap is when there are injuries or they stay in the minors.
detroit hit the top of the cap with hossa. It is also not in their best interest to dress young players in limited nhl games, because it will make them eligible for unrestricted free agency at an earlier age.
if they are not going to use them regularly, they are not gonna use them to lose them. |
