Victor Calderone returns with his legendary Evolve party for a night of his infamous thumping, stripped down beats designed for the dance floor. Tonight he is joined by rising techno star Adultnapper, a philosphy phD drop-out with punk rocker roots. The Brooklyn native has gone from “hating dance music,” to establishing himself as New York's own shadowy techno poster boy.

I think the NYC techno scene will survive this one night lol.
If memory serves me correctly, this is Adultnapper's first NYC big room headlining gig, right? I'm sure he's happy as hell to be playing it. Calderone is usually more of an afterhours party anyway. |

Admittedly, I'm curious as to how his set would be in a venue as large as Pacha. He's always spinning sexy techno at smaller clubs and bars that I'm almost sure wouldn't fly in a big room.
Never thought I'd see a name like Adultnapper at Pacha. I figure if he's being booked there, who could be next? All this time I'd assumed some DJ's purposely refused to spin certain venues. I like a lot of the alternative (and secret location) venues I've seen pop up for techno events over the past year or so, but perhaps these venues are used mainly because the demand and demographic is still pretty small. Maybe 2 years from now people will be posting about buying $300 bottles for a table reservation for Richie Hawtin & Audion at Pacha :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: :happy2: :o |
