what makes a track/set progressive isn't only the bpm. |

Usually, the prog I listen, just flows. What I heard on that set, was more of the classic trance build up, climax, transition to next track. In prog, climaxes aren't that pronounced. If you get the chance to listen to, A State of Trance 2004 Disc 2, you'll get what I'm talking about. It just flows. |

Yeah that is a great CD, but I prefer ISOS 4 CD 1 and 2 to ASOT 2004 CD 2 i think ISOS 4 flows better, but considering that those mix compilations are constructed primarily via computer and little mixing is involved with traditional mixers, I think that live at black sea dream set does a pretty good job considering andy moor doesn't use a laptop set-up he just uses a DJM-800 and 4 CDJ-1000 Mk3
Of course there are probably better examples out there I just thought I would share that set it is a recent favorite of mine |

what do you think is the best progressive trance track out this year?
anyone? |
|

"Progressive Trance" hasn't existed in the mainstream for many years... In fact I have no idea what the constitutes "Progressive Trance" in 2008, it's far too subjective (obviously with "Progressive" in the name).
Anyone? |

How the does format make any difference to flow? It's all in the actual mixing and placement of tracks. |
